Sign of the Times

I saw this sign on a blog and thought it was funny and quirky, what do you think?

Tomorrow I'm setting up in the Hinkler shopping centre near Boost Juice with two other ladies who I frequently join up with to showcase our wares. We go under the name of Trilogy Giftware (as there's three of us) and it's a great way for us to get some exposure for our home based business. Anita has beautifully fragrant soy candles that she hand pours herself (and you can get them refilled) and Christine has an extensive range of jewellery and handbags. We'd love to see you down there and you never know you may come across a gift for Christmas or a little something for yourself.

Childers Craft fair

I had a fantastic day yesterday at the Childers Craft Fair. It's a lovely drive down especially early in the morning when there's less traffic. I arrived about 7am and was set up ready to go by about 8.15am so I had a quick wander around the hall and I have to say we have some very talented ladies around the area.

Lots of people came through and I had a great time chatting and when I had time also demonstrating. The organisers had done a wonderful job of getting the advertising out there and I'm told it was a bigger crowd than last year so all their hard work was worth it.

Busy week

I had a great day at the PCYC markets on Sunday. We had lots of people coming through and I enjoyed chatting to everyone. After I packed up I went down to the Art Gallery Markets to have a look and catch up with a few friends. It's a great concept and I hope they continue to hold them (the idea is to do a few per year) but it would be nice to have it on a different weekend than the PCYC so I could participate.

Petrina was down there with her beautiful handmade cards & pencil & cosmetic cases etc and so was Anita with her gorgeous soy candles that she makes (they smell divine and they last for hours).

Shandell called into the PCYC and she has a fantastic card featured on her blog that she's made, clever girl.

Lorelle is hosting a World Card Making Day on the 31st October so head on over to her blog to get the details.

And me, well I'm working madly to get ready for the Craft Day at Childers on Tue the 20th of October and starting to panic that I won't have enough stock made.

New Stamps

More stamps have been arriving this week.

The Harmony Bo Bunny and Christmas Bo Bunny stamps are great value at $11.95 and they're clear so that makes placement a breeze.

I've been talking to lots of people who are well and truly into making they're Christmas cards now so here are a few new stamps for you to look at. Oh my goodness I just love the Penny Black 12 Days of Christmas set. I know it looks a little pricey at $51.50 but that works out at $4.29 per stamp and the words are separate to the image so you can use them at other times during the year.

This Sunday the 11th is the PCYC markets and I'll be in my regular spot inside the hall if you want to have a closer look.

September ATC

Just a quick one to show you the September ATC swap card that I made. The theme was balloons, you could do one card with three balloons on it or three cards with one balloon.

Maryborough Craft Show

Wow I have to say getting ready to be "open for business" at 6am is a bit of an effort so I'm glad I don't do that very often. I had a really interesting day at the swap meet and met lots of lovely people. Thanks to Lorelle for minding the stall while I went to the ladies, it saved M from doing it.

On Thursday my mother in-law and I are off to the Craftfest 09 held in Maryborough. I was talking to one of the organizers a few months ago (they had all stalls booked then) and she tells me this is the second year and they have 60 stalls booked. It's supposed to be all handmade so we're looking forward to a good day out. The dates are 8th, 9th and 10th October from 9am - 4pm in the City Hall, Kent St, Maryborough.

Bargains to be had!

Just a quick post as I'm busily packing up and getting ready for the Bundy Swap Meet and Market day tomorrow. I thought you might be interested in a few of the products that have been marked down.

The soy candles are absolutely gorgeous and make a wonderful gift. I've already got enough stock to fill the clearance table and then some more so don't forget to come out and have a look.

Please excuse the photos but I was in a hurry and didn't set them up very well.
