Christmas stamps from Wild Rose Studio

Are you someone who likes to start their Christmas cards early?

Wild Rose Studio have released their new range of Christmas stamps and they've used Bella the cute little elephant.

I've ordered a few of each of these just to see how they go so if you would like to reserve one email me and when they come in I'll put it aside for you.

The order should be in soon so I'll have them for the next PCYC market on the 12th August.

Girls Night Out

It's that time of year again. Time to get some friends together and come along to the Girls Night Out Charity Fundraiser in aid of EDON Place Women's Domestic Violence Service.

Tickets are $20 and that includes supper. You can purchase them at Desert Rose so thats nice and handy and the earlier you do that the better it is for catering etc.

It's a great night with a fashion parade, continuous raffle, lucky door prize and stalls for you to shop at. Of course the bar will be open as well.

Hope to see you there.

Life's been very busy lately with both my father in-law & girlfriend in hospital for quite a while. It doesn't help that they're in two different hospitals.

Anyway I wanted to do a clean and simple card using the Sunny Sunflowers Chocolate Baroque stamps and here is what I finished up with. The colours aren't quite as vivid as they scanned up as.

This is mine.

Steampunk - what is it?

Steampunk is a genre which originated during the 1980s and early 1990s and incorporates elements of science fiction, fantasy, alternate history, horror, and speculative fiction. It involves a setting where steam power is widely used—whether in an alternate history such as Victorian era Britain or "Wild West"-era United States, or in a post-apocalyptic time —that incorporates elements of either science fiction or fantasy. Works of steampunk often feature anachronistic technology, or futuristic innovations as Victorians might have envisioned them, based on a Victorian perspective on fashion, culture, architectural style, and art. This technology includes such fictional machines as those found in the works of H. G. Wells and Jules Verne, or the contemporary authors Philip Pullman, Scott Westerfeld and China Mieville

Why am I telling you this?

Chocolate Baroque has released two sets of Steampunk stamps and they are amazing. I've got them in the A Look at Whats New section of the website along with quite a few others from Chocolate Baroque.
