Wild Rose Studio Stamps

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, a family medical situation resulted in me taking a very quick unexpected flight down south but things seem to have settled down again now. At least enough so that I can think of catching up.

Have you seen the new range of Wild Rose Studio stamps in the Looks Whats New category of my website? The dragons are so cute and the boy stamps are great for the males in your life. Of course we all like a bargain and this range is very well priced.

Hop over to the Wild Rose Studio blog for some great ideas on how to use these stamps.

Crafty Cruising

Rachel from Darkroom Door sent me this brochure for a crafting cruise that she's teaching at next year and I thought you might be interested. The company does all sorts of crafts according to their website.

PCYC markets & new cards

I will go back and add a few more names to the blog awards below later but I have to get off this computer soon and I just wanted to do a quick reminder about the PCYC markets on sunday if you're after a nice morning out.

I have three new cards for you. The dinosaur stamp I bought down the coast (see point 6 below) and I liked them so much I've placed an order for them and a few others with the company.

Both coloured with Marvy markers

For this one I used Darkroom Door's Wildflowers stamps for the flowers & butterfly and used the "colour direct to stamp technique" with Marvy Markers.

3 ATC's

Three more ATC's for the trading frenzy that is on this Saturday.

For the crowns I mixed a little gold Perfect Pearls with water to get a thick liquid and then painted them with a small paint brush. The background was done with Distress inks swiped onto a craft mat and watered down then applied with a brush.

For this one I stamped the heart part of the stamp onto cardstock and cut it out then "opaled" (thick embossing powder) the heart in red and pressed a stamp into it while still warm then dusted the heart with gold Perfect Pearls. Then I carefully cut around the two hands, applied glue to the base heart and slid the opaled heart in place and added a dab of glue to the back of the hands and pressed them on top of the opaled heart. the flowers are rub-ons that I've had for a while.
A bit fiddly but I really like the way it turned out.
