Last PCYC craft market for the year tomorrow

I'm just about to go off and pack the car for tomorrow to take to the last PCYC craft market for the year held on the corner of Walker St and Maryborough St.

So if you need" that stamp you've been thinking/dreaming of or some Distress Inks or Embossing Powder or any other supplies, make sure you come along to the air-conditioned hall and see me. What about some crafty type supplies as a present for that buddy who is your partner in crime/craft.

The last couple of years I've had a table in Hinkler with a couple of my friends but I won't be doing any this year.

I hope to see you at the markets tomorrow and don't forget Lorna Blue Studio members get a 10% discount on the regular price of the craft supplies.

New stamps from Chocolate Baroque and Wild Rose Studio

I have lots of lovely new stamps in and some big news from Chocolate Baroque is that they are now producing a clear range.

Rubber stamps are gorgeous and very tough but clear stamps are fantastic for exact positioning.

The clever people at Chocolate Baroque have packaged their new clear stamps in a sturdy presentation folder with tabs so that you can store them in a folder.

They also include a paper cover with the image on the front and handy tips for use and storage on the back. Lovely.

Not a great photo sorry it was a bit overcast this morning when I was trying to photograph.

I only have 3 so far but they just released a few more this weekend so of course I'll have to go back and order some more.

Chocolate Baroque also have some gorgeous Christmas stamps out as well. Actually all of the stamps they release are beautiful so have a look in the New Line section of my website.

Pears & Baubles is a favourite of mine and over the next few weeks I'll continue to show you what I've made out of it.

Here are 2 very quick cards using a cheap white card that I purchased from a discount shop.

Simply ink up and stamp the bauble in Versamark (embossing ink) onto the card. Cover with
red embossing powder, shake off the excess and then heat it until the powder melts.

Run a line of Wonder Tape (double sided tape able to take heat) down from the top to meet the top of the bauble. Peel off the top layer and cover with red embossing powder. shake off excess and heat until powder is melted.

Stamp the Happy Christmas in Black Archival Ink.

#Tip - if you are using cheaper cards that have a glossy coating (or any glossy cardstock) be careful when you handle the card straight after stamping as the ink will still be wet and could smudge.

I've done this one exactly  the same except prior to stamping the sentiment I used Distress Inks and coloured up the card.

I used Tumbled Glass first then Broken China around the edges.

I'll be back with some more.

New stamps

I can't believe it's so long since I posted anything, life is just flying past at the moment.

We had a nice morning out today. First we went to the markets for fruit and veg and then home for breakfast. Then at 10am we went over to the Botanical Gardens to see a vintage car display, they were gorgeous old cars and we also had a coffee there as well as a stroll around the grounds in the sunshine.

Last week I had a few deliveries of stamps. Wild Rose Studio Bella stamps are now back in stock along with some new Annabelle Christmas. The postage has gone up so I've had to raise the price to $8.95 but they are still great value and fantastic stamps.

Chocolate Baroque has arrived as well and they have some gorgeous new stamps.

PCYC Markets on this Sunday 12-08-12

Just a reminder that the PCYC Markets are on this Sunday from 8am until 12pm. I'll be there in my usual spot in the hall.

The Wild Rose Studio Christmas stamps have arrived so they'll be on show. I've only ordered a couple of each.

Fathers Day is coming up soon (2nd September) so if you like to make your own cards for that please pop down and see what we have for the males in your life. This will be the last market before Fathers Day.

Penny Black has one especially for the fisherman which is gorgeous and you would get a lot of use out of it. Just change the greeting.

Wild Rose Studio has some great male ones as well and not forgetting the motor bike and old truck  fans take a look at the Darkroom Door stamp.

Christmas stamps from Wild Rose Studio

Are you someone who likes to start their Christmas cards early?

Wild Rose Studio have released their new range of Christmas stamps and they've used Bella the cute little elephant.

I've ordered a few of each of these just to see how they go so if you would like to reserve one email me and when they come in I'll put it aside for you.

The order should be in soon so I'll have them for the next PCYC market on the 12th August.

Girls Night Out

It's that time of year again. Time to get some friends together and come along to the Girls Night Out Charity Fundraiser in aid of EDON Place Women's Domestic Violence Service.

Tickets are $20 and that includes supper. You can purchase them at Desert Rose so thats nice and handy and the earlier you do that the better it is for catering etc.

It's a great night with a fashion parade, continuous raffle, lucky door prize and stalls for you to shop at. Of course the bar will be open as well.

Hope to see you there.

Life's been very busy lately with both my father in-law & girlfriend in hospital for quite a while. It doesn't help that they're in two different hospitals.

Anyway I wanted to do a clean and simple card using the Sunny Sunflowers Chocolate Baroque stamps and here is what I finished up with. The colours aren't quite as vivid as they scanned up as.

This is mine.
